What gets measured, before and after

You receive both runs, on the same URLs, so the improvement is verifiable rather than asserted:

PageSpeed / Lighthouse score, run on both mobile and desktop — mobile is usually the one that is bad, and the one Google weights.
Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) — how long until the main content is visible.
Interaction to Next Paint (INP) — how quickly the page responds to a tap or click.
Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) — how much the page jumps around while loading.
Time to First Byte (TTFB) — how long the server takes to respond at all. This is the one that points at hosting.
Total page weight and request count — the raw amount being shipped.
Third-party script audit — what each tag costs you, measured individually.
Server response test under repeat load, to separate a slow server from a heavy page.
Image and font analysis — formats, dimensions, lazy-loading and render-blocking behaviour.

What I can and cannot promise

I do not promise a perfect score, and you should be wary of anyone who does. A score of 100 is not achievable on every site, and chasing it is often the wrong use of your money.

Specifically: advertising and tracking scripts, embedded chat widgets and video players, marketing tags you are contractually required to run, platform restrictions on hosted builders, and genuinely underpowered hosting all impose a floor. I can measure exactly what each one costs you and tell you which are worth removing — but I cannot make a third-party ad script fast.

What I will commit to is a measured improvement on the metrics above, and an honest statement of what is left and why. Where hosting is the binding constraint, I will say so rather than quietly optimising around it — see the hosting comparison.

Website speed questions

Will a faster host fix my slow site?

Only if TTFB is the problem. If the page ships four megabytes of unoptimised images, the same page will ship four megabytes on a faster server. The before-test tells us which it is before you spend anything.

How much faster will my site get?

It depends entirely on what is slow. Sites carrying obvious waste — huge images, a dozen tracking scripts, no caching — often improve dramatically. Sites already reasonably built improve modestly. You get the diagnosis before committing.

Do I need to remove my tracking scripts?

Not necessarily, but you should know what each one costs. I measure them individually so the decision is yours and it is informed. See third-party scripts slowing your site.

Is Core Web Vitals the same as page speed?

Related but not identical. Core Web Vitals are the specific field metrics Google uses (LCP, INP, CLS). A site can score well in a lab test and still fail on real-user data. See Core Web Vitals help.
